The MacArtney Group depends on the support of a number of major cable manufactured to supply a range of cables that are designed, manufactures and tested to meet the highest demands of the underwater technology industry. The product range includes TV, signal, instrumentation, fibre optic, ROV, oceanographic geophysical, telecommunication, fishery and sonar cables.

A number of "standard" cables are held in stock but the majority of cables are manufactured to order and can include special cable engineering and design. Quality and testing are maintained to the highest standard in the industry. MacArtney supply engineering services and components to integrate total cable solution packages. Complimentary products and services include winches, slip rings, cable protections, fairing, electrical and optical connectors, penetrators, buoyancy, cable and termination engineering, pressure testing, dynamic testing, tension cable spooling and hydrodynamic studies.

The standard TV cables contain a range of custom designed multi conductor cables for use with underwater TV systems and other equipment. These cables contain a variety of coaxes, twisted pairs and power conductors to allow cameras, lights and pan & tilt units to be powered, controlled and the video images carried to the surface.

A selection of standard cable designs intended for applications where power and signal data must be combined into one cable. Cables in this section contain a mixture of power conductors and shielded twisted pairs cabled together within a Polyurethane outer jacket. From the simple, two power conductors and one shielded pair, to the more complex cables there is bound to be a cable that will meet your needs.

The instrumentation cables contain a number of cables for a variety of purposes. From one shielded twisted pair to several shielded twisted pairs or single conductors with overall shield. Cable type 0799 is armoured with two layers of galvanised steel. All other cables in this section have Polyurethane our jacket allowing them to be easily moulded to connectors to make underwater cable harness assemblies.

This section contains a range of special fibre optic cables that are specifically designed for use in the harsh environments found offshore. Some of the individual optical fibres are packaged within a protective layer of steel armour which provides exceptional strength and pressure resistance while remaining very flexible.
