OptoLink (Fibre Optics)

MacArtney OptoLink connectors combine robustness and reliability with flexibility and ease of use. They provide low noise fibre optic connections for one to four optical fibre passes in a wide range of configurations for connector and penetrator types.

MacArtney’s fibre optic connector termination kit contains the tools and parts necessary for terminating most standard fibre optic connectors in a practical case. The kit is designed for re-terminating and repairing in the field.

The MacArtney OptoLink Fibre Penetrator is specifically designed to withstand the challenges of system infrastructure at depths of up to 6,000 metres. It is completely blocked on both sides, so even if the system cable is damaged, water will not enter the system box. Its unique depth rating also means that integrity is certified for almost the entire world’s ocean floors.

MacArtney’s single fibre connector has been specially developed to offer reliable fibre optic connection in a minimal sized connector. Designed for subsea equipment manufacturers, the low insertion loss and low back reflection make this connector perfect for high speed data and video transmission.

The OptoLink Hybrid connector is a combined power and fibre solution designed to meet the demands of the subsea offshore industry. It consists of up to 4 fibre optic passes for communication and control of equipment and sensors and 7 power contacts, minimising the number of connectors needed to operate subsea equipment.
