SubConn coloured wires

The following are the standard colour codes used by SubConn® for bulkhead leads and inline cables. The colour coding system is designed to ensure clear identification of conductors, improve installation efficiency, and reduce the risk of wiring errors during assembly and maintenance.

The accompanying table displays the colour sequence for 1 to 16 conductors, with two parts:

  • Written Format: Lists the colours in sequence, providing a quick reference for documentation and technical descriptions.
  • Visual Format: Shows the actual colour representations for easy identification during hands-on work.

These standard colour codes apply consistently across SubConn® connectors, ensuring compatibility and uniformity for both bulkhead and inline configurations.

Notes:

Some connectors may use white-tagged leads instead of coloured this is specified on the datasheet.

For 3-conductor inline cables, the colour code differs from the standard sequence and will be:

1. Black
2. White
3. Green
