Established in 2016, through the acquisition of the fibre optic communications company EMO Marine technologies, the MacArtney Canada operation is now a regional sales office for MacArtney Inc. Strategically located at the COVE – Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia – the east coast hub of the maritime industry.
After adopting the EMO line of small form-factor fibre optic telemetry systems and designs to the global pool of MacArtney product and system solutions, we have become the Atlantic Canada Operations sales hub for SubConn® underwater cables and connectors. In addition to offering all MacArtney Group products and system-level solutions.

MacArtney Inc. provides a 24-hour service - including support and supply of all our products. The MacArtney Inc. slip ring workshops provide ongoing maintenance, service and repair of all Focal slip ring models.
We also carry an extensive stock of standard SubConn® connectors for immediate delivery.
Product development & system integration
The MacArtney Underwater Technology Group has carried out extensive product development projects resulting in new industry-standard products for underwater technology industries, for example, the non-metallic and micro-series of SubConn® connectors, TrustLink Metal Shell Connectors and the NEXUS fibre optic telemetry system.
Development also includes the successful FOCUS ROTV - a steerable instrumentation platform for the survey industry and most recently, the TRIAXUS ROTV - a towed instrumentation platform designed for high-speed oceanographic work. All product development is carried out in close collaboration with the customer.
Our engineering department can supply tailor-made systems and complete system integration according to customer specifications within all areas of mechanical, electrical and fibre optic design for the underwater technology industries.
System integration tasks range from subsea cable system solutions to the complex ROTV system solutions as well as complete instrumentation package delivery and installation on vessels.
