Procurement Administrator (Aberdeen, Scotland)

We are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join our MacArtney UK team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working within a busy office environment, and will have experience in a similar role in the past. The position is full-time, however, we are willing to consider a flexible arrangement for the right candidate. The work location is Aberdeen, Scotland.


Position:

  • Expediting goods and services
  • Actively work with the Procurement Manager to work through any escalated supply issues
  • Provide detailed updates to relevant internal stakeholders on purchase order progress
  • Assist to maintain purchase order records
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure vendor discount agreements where applicable are applied consistently
  • Assist with close out of purchase orders.
  • Obtain quotes
  • Work with relevant departments to ensure products are purchased in line with the needs of the company
  • Maintain supplier records and deal with new supplier requests
  • Support the Procurement Manager on supplier issues and communications


Practical Experience

  • A background of Administration / Purchasing / Customer Service would be advantageous.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Experience using Microsoft Business Central an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management System – ISO 9001:2008
